Driven round route to check for any problem areas. No snow or ice. In general the road surfaces have suffered over the Winter. On leaving Wray village a large pothole in gutter; 1 mile towards Wennington even larger road edge pothole. Beyond Wennington broken road surface. Gravel on both sides of Coal Road. On Friday 17 Feb Ben led his Vanilla Bikes squad over Barbondale to Sedbergh up Garsdale then over the Coal Road and up Dent Head. Only saw a bit of snow in a field. So our route is clear altho Geoff tells me they met a patch of ice above Ingleton last Sunday. I’ll be driving
