Another good turnout for a planned classic loop over the Trough, Bowland Knotts, Clapham, Ingleton and back.

Bad luck to @agnew63 who sheared his rear mech on a cattle grid. I tell you what, cattle grids around the forest of Bowland are vicious.

The group split further after the Trough. Most people opting for what I believe would be a steadier, flatter route back to Lancaster through Longridge. That left me, Julian, Settle boy Sandy and Neil to motor it home past Newton, Slaidburn, Bowland Knotts. Sandy carried on home to Clapham (he’d ridden from Clapham to Lancaster). Neil, Julian and I turned towards Bentham, Wray and Caton. Despite the variation from the original planned route, it was a great ride. No cafe stop for three Sundays in a row. Get in!
